Navigate IU events present opportunities to talk with current Hoosiers, meet other prospective students, engage with staff, and chart your path to IU with confidence.

Ready IU

Students in grades 9 through 11

Students in grades 9–11 are invited to use this online college preparation curriculum. Ready IU features courses on application and scholarship essay writing, college application tips, and preparing for a successful start to your college planning.


Reach IU

Fall 2023, On campus
Students in grades 8 through 10

Kick-start your college and career planning with tips and tools from IU Admissions experts. You’ll prepare to explore your interests, set goals for your future, and prepare for college both academically and financially. Families and supporters are invited to attend. This program is offered in partnership with community organizations.

IU Precollege Day

Winter 2024, On campus
Students in grades 8 through 12

Get a head start on pursuing your passions and try out college at IU. Join us for Precollege Day to learn more about the dozens of programs available to middle and high school students, from multi-day workshops to summer camps and year-round programs. Students can take advantage of virtual and in-person options.

Admitted Students

Celebrate your admission and discover the opportunities waiting for you at IU. You’ll learn more about financial support and resources, career development, participate in a panel discussion with IU’s cultural center leaders, hear about your next steps to enrolling as a student, and more.

Family Receptions

Held in locations around Indiana, these events are for admitted students and their families. You'll have an informal meal with IU alumni, students, faculty, and staff—a great chance to ask questions and get advice on preparing for and succeeding at IU.

Multicultural Mondays

These online events take place each Monday in March and April and offer a chance to hear about your steps to enroll, ask questions about scholarships and financial aid, or anything IU-related, and connect with current IU students.

Level Up

Parents of admitted students

This series of monthly virtual workshops for parents, families, and supporters of admitted students provides information to help you support your student during their transition to college—and throughout their college journey. Hear from campus experts and have candid conversations on important topics.

Precollege Academy

Summer 2024, On campus
Students ready to enter their senior year

This multi-day program allows rising seniors to learn more about college life and the application process and see themselves as college students—while having fun! The Precollege Academy includes virtual sessions, plus on-campus experiences where students stay overnight at IU.

Explore IU

Fall 2024, On campus
Students in grades 10 through 12

Experience a day in the life of a Hoosier and explore the ways you’ll be welcomed and supported at IU! You’ll learn about majors that spark your interest, hear about the admissions process, have an in-classroom experience with an IU professor, and attend an academic session and tour.
