IU Family Receptions

February 2023

Held in locations around Indiana, these events are for admitted students and their families. You'll have an informal meal with IU alumni, students, faculty, and staff—a great chance to ask questions and get advice on preparing for and succeeding at IU.

Multicultural Mondays

Spring 2023

These online events take place each Monday in March and April and offer a chance to hear about your steps to enroll, ask questions about scholarships and financial aid, or anything IU-related, and connect with current IU students.

IU Precollege Day

Spring 2023

IU offers dozens of precollege programs for middle school and high school students. Join us for IU Precollege Day to learn more about our range of offerings, from summer camps to year-round programs.

Level Up

Summer 2023

This series of monthly virtual workshops for parents, families, and supporters of admitted students provides information to help you support your student during their transition to college—and their entire college journey. Hear from campus experts and have candid conversations on important topics.

Precollege Academy

July 2023

This multi-day program allows rising seniors to learn more about college life and the application process, and see themselves as college students—while having fun! The Precollege Academy includes virtual sessions, plus on-campus experiences where students stay overnight at IU.

Reach IU

Summer 2023

Students in grades 8–10 are invited to attend Reach IU. This program introduces students and their parents to the many academic, social, and cultural opportunities at IU Bloomington. Reach IU participants will engage in college and career exploration, personality assessments, and a resource fair—as well as a parent workshop, just for students’ supporters.

Explore IU

Fall 2023

Explore IU is a program for high school juniors and seniors who identify as African American, Latino, Native American, and/or LGBTQ+, come from a low-income household, or are the first in their family to go to college. At this event, you'll learn about the opportunities you'll find at IU that will help you meet your goals. Explore all the ways you'll be welcomed and supported at IU!
