Get to IU Bloomington safe and sound

We are now scheduling limited guided tours of campus for admitted students. As you plan your trip, remember: Bloomington is in the Eastern Time Zone and observes daylight saving time. While on campus, visitors must follow campus policies, including wearing a mask at all times and practicing physical distancing. Paid parking

There are two pay lots located at the Indiana Memorial Union (900 E. Seventh Street): across the street and adjacent to the Office of Admissions Welcome Center. Office of Admissions tour guests will receive a discounted rate of $5 per day.

In order to ensure the comfort of all guests of the Office of Admissions, household pets are not permitted to participate in any portion of the campus visit. Only service animals are permitted.

Free parking

Please park in a visitor space in the upper level of the East Parking Garage (150 N. Jordan Avenue). Avoid spaces labeled EM-P Parking. To get to the Office of Admissions Welcome Center at Ernie Pyle Hall, take the stairs down to exit the garage at the northwest corner of the garage and make a right on Jordan Avenue. Turn left onto Seventh Street. The Office of Admissions Welcome Center is located at 940 E. Seventh Street. We recommend allowing 15 minutes to walk from the East Parking Garage to the Office of Admissions Welcome Center.

Travel information

You’ll probably fly into and out of Indianapolis International Airport. You can rent a car or take a shuttle to Bloomington.

GO Express Travel, 800-589-6004, travels between Indianapolis International Airport and Bloomington several times each day. They also have private cars and a shuttle to and from Chicagoland.
