The Ken Nunn Champions Plaza will be completed by fall 2016, thanks to a $2 million donation by Bloomington attorney, Kenn Nunn. This new entry plaza will be an addition to the south entrance of Assembly Hall.
Just prior to President Barack Obama’s historic meeting with Cuban President Raul Castro, a group of students from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs took a trip to study abroad in Cuba.
At the request of IU President Michael McRobbie, the tradition of chimes in the Student Building playing "Hail To Old IU" at 6 p.m. on Friday evenings has been revived.
A new building has been approved for the School of Informatics and Computing on the north side of the IUB campus.
IU is turning food waste into compost at the Hilltop Garden and Nature Center. This creates a full circle of vegetables from their gardens, to food courts on campus, and back to compost again.
Big winners at this year’s 65th running of the Little 500 races include bicyclists from Kappa Alpha Theta, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and all students who receive scholarship funding raised by the Little 500.
