Just prior to President Barack Obama’s historic meeting with Cuban President Raul Castro, a group of students from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs took a trip to study abroad in Cuba.
At the request of IU President Michael McRobbie, the tradition of chimes in the Student Building playing "Hail To Old IU" at 6 p.m. on Friday evenings has been revived.
IU is turning food waste into compost at the Hilltop Garden and Nature Center. This creates a full circle of vegetables from their gardens, to food courts on campus, and back to compost again.
A new building has been approved for the School of Informatics and Computing on the north side of the IUB campus.
The IU Art Museum is ranked #33 among the "50 Most Amazing College Museums." Designed by I.M. Pei, the IU Art Museum holds works by Monet, Picasso, Pollack, and others.
