Love your bike? The City of Bloomington was one of 55 cities that was recognized as a “Gold Level Bicycle Friendly Community” by the League of American Bicyclists.
Thanks to a $500,000 gift to IU, the Anniversary Plaza has been constructed outside the Jacobs School of Music and features a new sculpture for the IU Art Museum.
The IU Art Museum is ranked #33 among the "50 Most Amazing College Museums." Designed by I.M. Pei, the IU Art Museum holds works by Monet, Picasso, Pollack, and others.
At the request of IU President Michael McRobbie, the tradition of chimes in the Student Building playing "Hail To Old IU" at 6 p.m. on Friday evenings has been revived.
IU is working to establish a new program in engineering on the Bloomington campus which will allow Indiana University to build on existing programs in computing and informatics.
