Daily Visits

See what makes IU Bloomington one of the best public universities in the country

The daily IU campus visits are called Discover IU Days. They’re your chance to learn about our academic programs, experience our spirited community, and—best of all—see the gorgeous campus where you’ll prepare for a successful life.

Your Discover IU Day will start at our Office of Admissions Welcome Center in beautiful Ernie Pyle Hall.

Ways to connect

Until we can host you on campus, take advantage of these tour options if you happen to be in Bloomington:

    • Take a driving tour and see campus from the passenger seat.
    • Go on a self-guided walking tour of campus. Each location has additional photos and info for your learning enjoyment.

We also encourage you to explore our many opportunities to learn more about the academic programs IU has to offer, engage with our beautiful campus from wherever you are, and more:

  • Attend a virtual visit and get to know IU from a distance.
  • Take our virtual tour to experience key spots on campus without leaving home.
  • Learn about your school of interest and reach out to them for more information.
  • Research your major  to learn about the academic opportunities waiting for you at IU Bloomington.
  • Contact your personal admission counselor, who is here to answer any questions you have about the college search process, applying, or enrolling.

Plan your visit

For the most informative visit, we recommend attending:

  • A group information session that includes an overview of our admission process and standards; information about IU’s academic, cultural, and social opportunities; and answers to your questions at the end of the session.
  • A campus tour, led by current students.
  • A meeting with a representative in your academic area (or areas) of interest. Held on weekdays, these sessions are on different days for different schools, so check our campus visit calendar to find your ideal session.

You can schedule online or call 812-855-0661. If you’re scheduling your visit less than one week in advance, you must schedule over the phone.
