Indiana University Bloomington College Access Advising is part of the IUBound program. Through this program, we partner with Indiana High Schools to increase college access and promote a college-going culture among first-generation and low-income high school students.
How does the program work?
IU Bloomington places recent graduates to serve as full-time college advisors at partner Indiana high schools. These advisors collaborate with principals, counselors, and teachers to ensure that all seniors, regardless of their circumstance, have a post-secondary plan.
Advisors guide students and their families through the college search, standardized test prep, campus visits, applications, essay writing, FAFSA completion, scholarship research, and the successful transition to post-secondary education.
