Virginia: Red Carpet Day is amazing, it’s so much fun and it really is where you get to know IU. Not only will you get a tour of campus and the chance to ask current students and faculty what IU is really like, but you’ll also get to explore campus on your own.
Jeric: We put together a bucket list of all the incredible things you can do and the places you have to see here in Bloomington.
[video: Text, “TAKE A WALK THROUGH THE SAMPLE GATES”]
[video: Video shows Virginia on IU’s campus wearing a winter coat, scarf, and pants. She stands between the Sample Gates, two limestone pillars with lights on the front. Virginia’s arms are open toward the pillars. Camera zooms to one of the lights, then to Virginia’s smiling face as she gestures with one arm toward the pillars and campus.]
[video: Text, “POSE WITH HERMAN B WELLS”]
[video description: A young man wears an IU sweater and smiles at the camera as he stands next to a bench. On the bench, there is a statue of Herman B Wells, an old man in a suit. In one hand, the statue holds a hat against the bench. The other hand is stretched out into the air. Montage of student sitting next to the statue, then standing in front of the bench, and then sitting on the bench with his arm around the statue.]
[video: Text, “GET A COOKIE AT SUGAR AND SPICE”]
[video: Close-up shot through bakery window. Inside the bakery, a woman points out the baked good she wants to the two women behind the counter. Inside the bakery, the camera zooms in on the three shelves of cookies on display beneath the glass of the counter. Outside the bakery again, a young man holds up an iced sugar cookie with “IU” iced on the center.]
[video: Text, “CHECK OUT THE SWEETHEART TREE”]
[video: A limestone building with wooden double doors comes into focus. A young woman gestures to the trunk of a tree in the courtyard in front of the building. The tree has many initials and hearts carved into the trunk. She smiles and the camera pans up the tree to its naked branches.]
[video: Text, “EAT AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT”]
[video: People fill a packed restaurant, talking and looking at menus. In front of another restaurant, there is a large circle with the words “Bloomington Bagel Company” written in the center. Close-up of a wooden table with four plates and four people around the table. Close-up of a sign outside a restaurant reads “Buffa Louie’s.” Inside the restaurant, a young woman in an IU shirt laughs and takes a bite of food. Close-up of a restaurant sign over a brick building. At the center of the sign is the restaurant name, “THE VILLAGE DELI.” Inside the restaurant, close-up of a table with four cups of water and two plates of food, a bottle of hot sauce between the plates. A young woman in an IU shirt stands outside next to a “Runcible Spoon” sign and restaurant menu. The sign and menu are posted on a wooden sign post. The young woman laughs and looks at the menu.]
[video: Text, “TOUR THE STUDENT RECREATIONAL SPORTS CENTER”]

[video: Text, “HAVE YOUR PICTURE TAKEN ON THE RED CARPET”]
[video: Young woman walks away from camera, toward three Indiana University banners. She turns toward the camera, holding a “#FutureHoosier” sign. A young man stands in front of the three banners and holds the same sign above his head. Camera pans down a line of students, all wearing IU shirts and smiling. A line of students appears, a young woman in the front. She points with both index fingers and thumbs at the camera, smiles, and moves to the left. The young woman behind her gives two thumbs up and moves to the right. The students in the line continue to smile and fan opposite directions until the end of the line when a young man smiles and jumps up.]
[video: Text, “SEE YOU AT RED CARPET DAYS!”]
