About

Becoming a successful marketing professional involves using analytical, interpersonal, creative, and leadership skills. If you enjoy using these skills to put meaningful products and services in the hands of the consumer, a marketing major may be ideal for you.

This Kelley program is ranked at No. 3 by U.S. News & World Report Best Undergraduate Business Programs 2024.

Students from the undergraduate program at the Kelley School of Business will learn to analyze and interpret the economic, social, political, legal, cultural, and technological influences that drive the global economy. They will be able to evaluate a region or nation for business investment or expansion and develop a comprehensive knowledge base in each essential division of business.

The Kelley marketing major is consistently ranked among the top programs in the nation. Students in this major will study buyer behavior, the development of new products, pricing policies, channels of distribution (including retailing), advertising, professional selling, marketing research, and marketing strategy.

Typically, a marketing career progresses into roles such as promotional planning, marketing communications / advertising, and other strategic, more senior marketing positions. Others may choose professional sales, corporate retailing, market research, or brand management.
