What is one piece of advice you have for students who are choosing a college?
Live by the three d’s: determination, diligence, and discipline. Be determined to get into your school of choice—earn the test best scores and GPA you can (not just to get accepted, but to improve your shot at scholarships)! Remain diligent in your attempts to succeed—pay attention to detail, stay ahead of the game, and respect other people’s time. Stay disciplined—set deadlines and goals, then act accordingly so that you may exceed your own expectations beyond your wildest dreams.
What is one fun or interesting fact about yourself that most people do not know?
I love the arts. Whether it is performing arts, museums, or galleries, I have a great appreciation for the blood, sweat, and tears that go into something visually or acoustically pleasing. For me, the arts represent unity. They are an expression of a universal language that bonds us all.
